Impact
Manipulation of data

This includes vulnerabilities where a user or a remote attacker can manipulate local data on a system, but not necessarily be able to gain escalated privileges or system access.

The most frequent type of vulnerabilities with this impact are SQL-injection vulnerabilities, where a malicious user or person can manipulate SQL queries.

Description

Some vulnerabilities have been reported in DA Mailing List System, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.

Input passed to the "adm_login" and "adm_password" parameters in admloginchk.asp is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation allows bypassing the authentication mechanism.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 2. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution

Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
